In past years, the Academic Support Center has offered free tutoring, spaces for learning, technology, peer coaching, workshops, and more – in easily accessible and convenient locations in cultural centers, in three campus residence halls, and in the Office of the Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Multicultural Affairs (OVPDEMA) academic units. Students can access the ASC’s services Sunday through Thursday from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
ASC Update for Fall 2021 (updated October 18, 2021): The Forest, Teter, and Zoom locations will have math and writing help during all evening hours (Sunday-Thursday from 7-11 pm), and the Briscoe location will have both math and writing help on Mondays and Wednesdays, with writing help only on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
In addition to a return to in-person services at its residence hall and satellite locations, a Zoom session will be available during the ASC’s usual hours of operation (Sunday-Thursday from 7:00-11:00 pm) for the upcoming 2021-2022 academic year. More information about how to request/access the Zoom links can be found on the tutoring services page of this website or by emailing email@example.com.
After accessing/receiving the Zoom link, students can join the Zoom meeting during our evening hours of operation, and they will be admitted into the session, checked in, and then moved to a breakout room to work with a tutor (either individually or as part of a small group).
