In past years, the Academic Support Center has offered free tutoring, spaces for learning, technology, peer coaching, workshops, and more – in easily accessible and convenient locations in cultural centers, in three campus residence halls, and in the Office of the Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Multicultural Affairs (OVPDEMA) academic units. Students can access the ASC’s services Sunday through Thursday from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
ASC Update for Fall 2020 (updated September 29, 2020): In response to the ongoing novel coronavirus COVID-19 situation, the Academic Support Center (ASC) is offering its services online only during the 2020-2021 academic year, with no in-person help (either in the residence halls or satellite locations) planned at this point.
Zoom sessions will be available during the ASC’s usual hours of operation (Sunday-Thursday from 7:00-11:00 pm) for the upcoming academic year. More information about how to request the Zoom links can be found on the tutoring services page of this website or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
After receiving the Zoom links, students can join the appropriate Zoom meeting during our evening hours of operation, and they will be admitted into the session, checked in, and then moved to a breakout room to work with a tutor (either individually or as part of a small group).
