The Academic Support Center offers free tutoring, spaces for learning, technology, peer coaching, workshops, and more – all of which are easily accessible and conveniently located in cultural centers, in three campus residence halls, and in the Office of the Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Multicultural Affairs (OVPDEMA) academic units. Students can access ASC’s services Sunday through Thursday from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
ASC Update for Spring 2020 (updated March 16, 2020): To date, no known cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have been identified on any of the Indiana University campuses. However, due to the rapidly changing situation and with the safety and well-being of students and others in mind, President Michael A. McRobbie issued a university-wide letter on March 15. The letter includes updated guidelines pertaining to many issues, including virtual teaching for the remainder of the spring 2020 semester, residential housing closures, and the extension of spring break.
As a result, the Academic Support Center (ASC) is suspending its evening tutoring in residence hall locations and its daytime tutoring in various satellite locations for the rest of the spring 2020 semester.
Arrangements for online tutoring help in math and writing are currently underway, with the goal of Zoom sessions available during the ASC’s usual hours of operation (Sunday-Thursday from 7:00-11:00 pm), beginning Monday, March 30, and running through the end of the spring 2020 semester. Zoom links will be posted on Monday, March 30, on the tutoring services page of this website.
The Academic Support Center will continue to monitor the rapidly changing situation with the novel coronavirus COVID-19 and post updates regarding future events (including access to online tutoring help), programs, services, and any necessary schedule changes on our website.
