Everyone needs a little help sometimes. That's why the Academic Support Center offers free tutoring and works with students to help them develop the study skills needed to succeed in the classroom.
ASC Update for Fall 2020 (updated 9/29/20): For the 2020-2021 academic year, the ASC is offering online tutoring only during the ASC’s usual hours of operation (Sunday-Thursday from 7:00-11:00 pm EST). Students interested in using these Zoom sessions will need to send an email request from their IU email to the ASC departmental email at email@example.com and links will be sent back via email within 24-36 hours.
After receiving the Zoom link, students can join the appropriate Zoom meeting during our evening hours of operation, and they will be admitted into the session, checked in, and then moved to a breakout room to work with a tutor (either individually or as part of a small group).
There will be math and writing tutoring available during all of the ASC's evening tutoring sessions, and other subject area tutoring will be available at specific times. For Fall 2020, the subject area help will include introductory business help (for A100, K201, and some economics) on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:00-11:00 pm and introductory chemistry help (for C103 and C117) on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:15-9:15 pm.
