Empowering Students
Everyone needs a little help sometimes. That's why the Academic Support Center offers free tutoring and works with students to help them develop the study skills needed to succeed in the classroom.
ASC Update (updated December 18, 2024):
All locations of the ASC (Briscoe, Forest, Teter, and Zoom) are now closed for the fall 2024 semester.
All ASC locations (Briscoe, Forest, Teter, and Zoom) will re-open for the spring 2025 semester during the second week of classes after the Dr. King holiday, likely on Tuesday, January 21.
Students interested in finding out more information about ASC services can send an email request from their IU email to the ASC departmental email at acadsupp@iu.edu with a reply via email within 24-36 hours. The Zoom link for the ASC evening session that will be open during our evening hours of operation on Sunday-Thursday from 7-11 pm for the spring 2025 semester will be found here: TBD.
There will be math and writing tutoring available during the ASC's evening tutoring sessions (in-person and online). Specific updates about limited services (no math help on a particular night or a location closure) will be added to this website throughout the semester (see below), so check back periodically.
There will be some drop-in subject area tutoring available for spring 2025 (details also updated below--check periodically for changes/closures). There will be Spanish tutoring offered at La Casa/Latino Cultural Center, physiology (PHSL-P225) help in the Forest C230 classroom, and anatomy (ANAT-A225) help in the Teter conference room (days/times TBD).
