Everyone needs a little help sometimes. That's why the Academic Support Center offers free tutoring and works with students to help them develop the study skills needed to succeed in the classroom. For assistance in a particular course/subject matter, select your ASC location and sign up in person beginning at 6 p.m. It’s that easy! And, many departments also offer private tutoring services, as well, with some available online.
ASC Update for Summer 2020 (updated 5/29/20): As is traditionally the case, the ASC will not be offering any tutoring during the summer; students taking summer courses at IUB who are seeking online math or writing assistance can contact either the Math Learning Center or Writing Tutorial Services for more information about their summer services.
For the 2020-2021 academic year, the ASC will be offering online tutoring during the ASC’s usual hours of operation (Sunday-Thursday from 7:00-11:00 pm EST). As was the case in the latter part of the spring 2020 semester, students interested in using these Zoom sessions will need to send an email request from their IU email to the ASC departmental email at firstname.lastname@example.org and links will be sent back via email within 24-36 hours.
There will be math and writing tutoring available during all of the ASC's evening tutoring sessions, and other subject area tutoring will be available at specific times; check this page for more updates.
